    Hi Girls,

I had a misscariage, I was 12 weeks pregnant .Hence had to undergo D & C. I got a regular cycle after that.Practically hw long need to wait to have a second try?I am become very desperate & feel that I cannot even wait for 3 months,Hence after my 2nd cycle if we try will it be ok....anyone has personally undergone such condition & have conceived a healthy baby after that?

As per doctor I can try after 3 cycles after my misscariage, but from the internet & many sites say there is no specific time to start trying. But I am scared that this time there should not be any complication.

Please tell from ur personal experiences:bowdown

I am so very sorry to hear about your loss. I miscarried much earlier and therefore naturally. So, I was told to wait for my first normal period.

I know someone who miscarried around 10 weeks and underwent D & C. Her doctor advised her to wait for 2 normal cycles and then try. I believe she conceived in the second cycle of ttc, and she now has a healthy baby boy.

Setting apart medical issues, I tried in the very first cycle (because I was desperate and my doctor did say that there is nothing wrong in trying right away), but it didn't work. In a way, I am glad it didn't. I would have been a bundle of nerves and tension, if it did - I wasted SIX sticks testing for pg. So, you do the math! And this month, I ovulated too soon, and we were visiting someone for the 3 days before that :-(. Ah well! But I guess this break is good because I feel like I will be a lot more relaxed about ttc because of at least a 2-month gap b/w m/c and conception.

Can't say that I am still neutral when I see a pg woman.

My advice would be to first work on calming yourself down. The stress and tension can't help. I am going to start a new thread sharing info from a talk I once attended about what stress can do to a person's normal physiology. I hope it'll be a reminder to all of us to be calm!

I would say u should do as per ur gynec's suggestion. If its a natural m/c general they will ask u to wait for 1 period before u can start trying. But if u have undergone D&C then u need to wait for 3 cycles before u try again. This is because just in case something is left behind. One of my friend had a D&C and doc asked her to wait for 3 cycles before trying and she tried after 3 cycles and she got pregnant and has a healthy baby now. So i would suggest follow ur gynec.

    Hi Cutekid

After my second miscarriage and D&C in July 2006, we started trying immediately after the first normal menstrual cycle. Also I conceived immediately in Nov 2006 itself.

Basically it all depends on your age and the regularity of your menstrual cycle. In my case I had to do it because of the age factor,I was nearing 30,so decided that we will try immediately after the first cycle. If you are young and have regular cycle I would suggest that you wait for 3 cycles. Or else try after your first cycle.

All the best and I am sure that you will be blessed with a cute kid soon.

    Sulakshana

Anyone who took time to get pregnant after miscarriage?

    HI all,

I had two miscarriages. One at 8 weeks and other at 14 weeks. Second one was due to cystic hygroma, a conditon in which baby develops a sweeling in the back of his neck. after the second miscarriage, we dint try for 3 months and then we started again. Now we have tried for 3 months and have not got pregnant yet. Is this normal to take time to get pregnant after miscarriage? Or is there any problem like tubal block or something? I ovulate regularly and I have very regular cycles. Doctors cudnt find out any reason for the miscarriages as all the results done for us came out normal. They told it can happpne due to bad luck also.

    regards

Any took time to get pregnant after miscarriage?

    Hi all,

I posted this question in some other section but dint get proper answer. I had two miscarriages, one at 8 weeks and one at 14 weeks. Doctors did all the tests and cudnt find out any problem with us. So they told lets hope for the best next time. We started TTC after 3 months after the last miscarriage and now we have tried for 4 times. This is the 4th time and am not sure whether we are going to get a positive this month.

I wanted whether any other took such a long time to get pregnant after miscarriage? Can there be any problem like blocked tubes or something thats preventing me from getting pregnant? Or is it normal to take some time to get pregnant?

Please help with an answer and sorry for sucha long post...

    Regards
