    Hello All,

I have this doubt on when to dispose milk used in bottle

EBM : I always store in fridge and warm it just before use.
Formula : I prepare freshly before every feed.
Lets say If I take 2 ounce and baby drinks 1.5 ounce alone for half an hour and then either cries or its time for a diaper change and another half an hour goes in this. So now its 1hr since the bottle is in room temperature and I use the remaining ounces as baby gets hungry again. Is this fine ?

I am mainly concerned about formula(lactodex) here as the label says use within 1/2 hr :idea

    Regards,
    Malar

    Malar,

Usually unused formula is good for only 1 hr at room temperature. After that it has to be discarded. If the formula you are using says it has to be used within 1/2 hr and 1/2 hr it is.

You can reuse unused breastmilk because breastmilk seems to have antibodies. so it's fine to put the unused BM in the fridge and use it later.

    Hope this helps!
