What Next?

Once upon a time, there was a country that promoted the principle of democracy around the world. They even went to war with the autocrats to liberate the friendly countries that were occupied by the autocrats. Even today, this country is contributing vast majority of the funds needed to establish an alliance called North Atlantic Treaty Organization and continue to be the major contributor to the United Nations, a body that was established in 1945 to set international peace and security. This country had written a Constitution two centuries ago that allowed three bodies of the government called Legislative, Judiciary and Executive to peacefully coexist without interference in each other’s functioning.

However, there was a minority in this country that promoted slavery continued to function under the wrap in a secret society collaborating through social media, when many legislations were passed over the last several decades prohibiting discrimination based on the color of the skin and to promote equal opportunity to all, specifically banning the slavery and allowing the minority to participate in the election process.

In the last decade, a brilliant idea struck a businessman who had the ambition of becoming the President of this country decided to embrace this supremacist ideology stating everything against the immigrants who were the majority composition of this country. He took over the control of one of the political parties through his nationalist agenda, leaving the principles of this political party behind in the doldrums, making many who voiced their opinion against this tendency within the party silent. The inherent weakness of this democratic society was utilized to the core assisted by some brilliant minds who knew how to win the election in favor of this political party through marginal victory in specific battleground states despite losing the popular votes.

This leader declared landslide victory and began governing the country with nationalist agenda when the vast majority of the population of this country watched in fear and in silence for 4 years. When the new election cycle started, this political leader was confident that he could continue to use the same tools to win the electorate once again and raised enormous funds to support his agenda. In the meantime, the opposing party hired an intelligent woman as a campaign manager to overcome this battle in the battleground states. The same razor-thin margin went in favor of the other political party in these battleground states, resulting in the election results going against this political leader. As usual, this political party won more popular votes as well.

He could not tolerate the outcome of this result and declared that the election was rigged. He filed several lawsuits in various states against this outcome which resulted in these courts tossing out his lawsuits. Finally, he went to the supreme court which again decided not to intervene. He also tried to reach out to those who declared the results in each state without any success. Finally, asked this supremacist group to come to the capital to protest a formal process of counting the electoral college votes. This group became violent and took the advice of the political leader to fight and take back the country as an indication to capture the building that houses the legislatures of the country to install this political leader back in power.

Fortunately, better sense prevailed and leaders from both political parties got together to uphold the constitution of the country and peacefully completed the process of counting the electoral college votes and declared the winner enabling peaceful transfer of power. Despite the day of the transfer of power is within two weeks, the country continued to live in fear of largescale protests leading to terrorizing the nation. This event has become a national embarrassment for many citizens of this country. The legislatures are considering the forcible removal of this leader from power through various means despite his power remains functional only for a few more days.

The appalling situation is when a violent act was committed in the building occupied by all the legislatures, there is still a debate about what is the right action to be taken among the legislatures when they themselves are the witnesses of this uprising against the democracy. It is yet another massive scale intelligence and law-enforcement failure in the country after 9/11/2001. The legislators who are confused about the right action at this juncture are not fit to bring in laws to govern this country. The Executive who is elected deferring the decision to the legislatures for further action should also be held accountable for his inaction. The citizens of this country will lose faith in democracy if no action is taken against those who are responsible for this uprising as this violent act is against the democratic principles enshrined in the constitution of this country.

 

Did the US government involve in removing the democratically elected government?

People of color lived with tension for many decades. I don't think this particular incident is going to change anything further. I believe there is no need to hype the need to be cautious of public presence.

 

I am aware of this incident and many more against black lives as well. What I meant was that the minority is very much aware of the possible risks especially if they live in red states.
MAGA is read by many as the sign to take America back by a century with slavery and no equal rights to minority.
