What do you ladies do when your MIL ignores you and won't talk to you

Sometimes I feel that being silent is better...If you converse with a person when they r in an angry mood , it leads to unnecessary arguments...Both of u may end up using harsh words that u may regret later on...So just ignore and continue with ur normal activities...After she cools down n comes back to normal she'll only start talking to u
