that's colorful! Did you season the baked potatoes? Did you bake the slices or is it like mashed potatoes?

    Cindhuja and Cheerful

most of us have curd and dals regularly in our diets. We can certainly include their colors, but we definitely want to add more colorful vegetables and fruits to our diet. I am fine with trying a wide range of vegetables, but when it comes to fruits, I seem to stick with a few, but I try others if they are in a fruit salad.

I hope this thread will motivate many like me to try a wide range of fruits and vegetables in their diet

    Dear hat,

avial, thiruvadirai kootu are so wholesome because they show a wide range of colorful vegetables and dal at the same time. These days, I am comfortable in making avial with less coconut using chitvish's carrot and coconut recipe.
We get plums and nectarines in so many colors.

    Cheerful,

go ahead and try the salad. I am making it a point to make a different salad each day. Yesterday was tomato salad using large and grape tomatoes with balsamic vineger, basil leaves and blue cheese crumbles.
    It was too good.

    Yesterday dinner,

    green - spinach masiyal
yellow & green - brussel sprouts sambar
    white - rice and curd

Today's breakfast is a big piece of whole wheat carrot cake (vegan) with a cup of coffee.

For cake its brown (walnuts and whole wheat flour), orange (carrots) and pale yellow (applesauce) and white for milk.

Usha your salad recipes are so inviting. Do you buy vegetarian blue cheese (rennetless)? Which brand is better.

sweet potato chapatis sound terrific. Did you mix the pulp with the dough or made it like stuffing?
