It is often said that a protein rich diet helps in weight loss! I have been tracking my food often and always end up protein deficient in the end. I somehow avoid Diary for the fact that these days Milk is all adulterated and consuming it only has us invite something bad. I am a pure vegetarian by diet. Could any of you guys name few protein combination recipes??(preferably Indian)

I don't mind if any of you guys sharing a weight loss success story with me and the diet plan and workouts you have done:) confujed emoji.jpg

Yes, she is really great. Love her efforts. Also, there is a young Indian fellow who runs a cooking channel called "Cooking-Shooking" but he is not as health conscious.

I also wrote a short post on the Goya Journal, an excellent food website, which you are free to check out.

Moong , Chana and other kinds of dal .
( The only problem is that they cause gas, maybe manjula aunty and umanga can help ;) here )

Have you tried soya granules , I quite like them . I use them in pulav.
Tofu is a good source of protein too, I try not to eat it too much though

Dals (pulses) & grains are the rich source of proteins. you can add them in your curry, sambar, chutneys.

Absolutely. Lentils are full of proteins. Rajma, Kabuli Channa, Lobia(karamani/black eyed peas/cow peas), Green moong dal and Chana dal are the heaviest. Moong dal is the lightest for digestion. Apart from making a simple dal using these lentils, you could make pesarattu(dosa) out of green moong dal. Dosa is made even using lobia(i havent tried personally though). These recipes are simple. Soak the dal overnight and grind into batter with salt and spices. While cooking with dals, it will be good to use generous amounts of asafoetida and fresh ginger to balance the gas(vata)
