We’re all going on a Summer Holiday…

Dear Viji,

It all just fell into place without any planning... You know, when they asked us to help 'baby-sit' the kids by turns, we thought it would be fun to use the time interacting casually and teaching something different...the men pitched in too, getting photocopies, cutting square sheets of paper, suggesting themes...

I just love it when you come in, Lalitha (I love the name, She's my favourite Devi Maa too), can you see the warm glow?

I too grew up listening to Cliff Richards and Elvis Presley, to name a couple... The Shadows numbers were also all-time favourites, 'Tea for two' brings back nostalgic memories.

There were too few programmes on radio featuring English songs, one I remember is 'A date with you' relayed on Friday nights from Delhi and 'Saturday date' in Madras of those days

So we bought the 78 rpm records and EPs and played them over and over again...

I share your feelings 100% ... wish you lived here in Bengaluru, imagine what fun we'd have together!

The kids are so generous with their affection and unstinted in their adoration... we have withdrawal symptoms when schools reopen after the Summer Holidays!

Dear Meenu,

Oh yes, everyone looks forward to the summer and the swimming, craft and other sessions... in fact, many kids' centres in our area have started summer camps that keep the kids busy through the day and they also charge a hefty amount!

It is more fun to interact with the children and get their inputs too...
