There is a Sundara Varadaraja temple near Vaniyambadi. This perumal has Mahalakshmi on his chest with his left leg firmly on the ground and his right leg folded like a king. This Perumal removes Ragu,Ketu,Sun,Moon thoshas. This is a parihara stala for Rau,Ketu,Sun and Moon.It is a stala for Kala Sarpa Thosha. There is a massive Anjaneyar and a small Garudar here.I f you perform Thirumanjanam here, all your wishes will be fulfilled. There is a Madhusudana perumal temple in Parakai in Kanyakumari district. You can find sun rays falling directly on this Perumal's feet on the 10th day of the month of Chitirai.Sun pooja is performed then. The prasadam here for the Moolavar is kozhakattai in the shape of a big coconut. It is called Amrithakalsam. There is a Perumal temple 30kms from the river Bhavani. It seems this Perumal appeared on its own. This Perumal is a form of Lord Venkateswara. This Lord's image is broad on all sides and sharp in the centre. This Perumal is said to drive away all evil spirits.By offering lime, tulasi, neem leaves it is said to remove diseases.

108 Tirupathikal....Guide to all these temples... My dear friends, In Hinduism, Venkateshwara (also spelled as Venkateswara, Venkateshwer or Venkatachalapathi) is a much-worshipped form of Vishnu. He is also known as Balaji or Lord Venkateswara. He is also worshiped with the name Tirupati Thimmappa all over Karnataka by traditionally Shiva worshipping communities. Vishnu, in the form of Venkateshwara, is much worshipped at Tirupati temple. Venkateshwara is the presiding deity at the Tirumala temple complex, believed to be the richest of all the Hindu shrines in the world. The temple is situated in southern Andhra Pradesh in Chittoor district. It is around 120 km away from Chennai. The presence of seven hills influenced alternate names for the diety: Edu kondala vadu in Telugu and as Elumalaiyan in Tamil both of which mean Lord of the Seven Hills. In between the Pallava and the Chola country lay an undefined small region called the Nadu nadu or mid country. The Pallava country was also known as Todaimandalam or Tondai nadu which was bounded on the north by the Svarnamukhi river and on the south by the South Pennar. The Chola country known as Sola nadu lay between the South Pennar and the Cauvery rivers. The pandyan kingdom lay South of the Cauvery right down to the sea. The western half of the extreme south (ruled by the Cheran king) extending to the Arabian sea was called the Malai nadu or Hill country. The remaining part of India to the north of the Tondai mandalam was known as the Vada nadu or Vadugar nadu (the country of the northerners). The chart shows the sacred places arranged on the above regional basis adopted by the Sri Vaishnavas. <TABLE cellSpacing=2 cellPadding=2 width="80%" align=center border=0><TD class=table width="40%"> Chozha Tirupathigal <TD vAlign=top width="40%">1 to 40<TD class=table> Malayaala Tirupathigal <TD vAlign=top>41 to 53<TD class=table> Nadu Tirupathigal <TD vAlign=top>54 to 55<TD class=table> Pandiya Tirupathigal <TD vAlign=top>56 to 73<TD class=table> Thondal Tirupathigal <TD vAlign=top>74 to 95<TD class=table> Vada Tirupathigal <TD vAlign=top>96 to 106<TD class=table> Vinnulaga Tirupathigal <TD vAlign=top>107 to 108 <TABLE cellSpacing=2 cellPadding=2 width="100%" align=center border=0><TR class=table><TD class=table width="5%">1.<TD class=table width="48%">Thiru Arimeya Vinnagaram<TD class=table width="5%">21.<TD width="42%">Thirukkudalur<TR class=table><TD class=table>2.<TD class=table>Thiru Mani Mada Kovil<TD class=table>22.Thirukkudanthai<TR class=table><TD class=table>3.<TD class=table>Thiru Nandhipura Vinnagaram<TD class=table>23.Thiru Indalur<TR class=table><TD class=table>4.<TD class=table>Thiru Parathan Palli<TD class=table>24.Thiru Manikoodam<TR class=table><TD class=table>5.<TD class=table>Thirukkazhiseerama Vinnagaram<TD class=table>25.Thiru Nagai <TR class=table><TD class=table>6.<TD class=table>Thiru Sempon Sei Kovil<TD class=table>26.Thirunarayur<TR class=table><TD class=table>7.<TD class=table>Thiru Sirupuliyur<TD class=table>27.Thirupper Nagar <TR class=table><TD class=table>8.<TD class=table>Thiruvarangam - Sri Rangam<TD class=table>28.Thiruppullam Boodangudi<TR class=table><TD class=table>9.<TD class=table>Thalaisanga Nanmadiyam<TD class=table>29.Thiruthetri Ambalam <TR class=table><TD class=table>10.<TD class=table>Thiru Thanji Manai Kovil<TD class=table>30.Thirutthevanar Thogai<TR class=table><TD class=table>11.<TD class=table>Thiru Anbil<TD class=table>31.Thiruvaali Thirunagari<TR class=table><TD class=table>12.<TD class=table>Thiru Aathanoor<TD class=table>32.Thiru VaiKunda Vinnagaram<TR class=table><TD class=table>13.<TD class=table>Thiruccherai <TD class=table>33.Thiru Vanna Purushothamam<TR class=table><TD class=table>14.<TD class=table>Thirucchitrakudam<TD class=table>34.Thiruvazhunthoor<TR class=table><TD class=table>15.<TD class=table>Thirukavalapadi<TD class=table>35.Thiru Vellakkulam<TR class=table><TD class=table>16.<TD class=table>Thirukkanangudi<TD class=table>36.Thiruvellarai<TR class=table><TD class=table>17<TD class=table>Thirukkandiyur<TD class=table>37.Thiruvelliyankudi<TR class=table><TD class=table>18.<TD class=table>Thirukkanna Mangai <TD class=table>38.Thiru Vinnagar<TR class=table><TD class=table>19.<TD class=table>Thirukannapuram<TD class=table>39.Thirukkarambanoor<TR class=table><TD class=table>20.<TD class=table>Thirukkavitthalam<TD class=table>40.Thiru Uraiyur<TABLE cellSpacing=2 cellPadding=2 width="100%" align=center border=0><TR class=table><TD class=table width="5%">41.<TD width="48%">Tiruchenkundrur <TD class=table>48.Thiruvalvaazh<TR class=table><TD class=table>42.Thirukkadithaanam<TD class=table>49.Thiruvananthapuram<TR class=table><TD class=table>43.Tirukkatkarai<TD class=table>50.Thiruvanvandur<TR class=table><TD class=table>44.Thirumuuzhikalam<TD class=table>51.Thiruvaranvilai<TR class=table><TD class=table>45.Thiru Naavaay<TD class=table>52.Thiruvattaru<TR class=table><TD class=table>46.Thiruppuliyur<TD class=table>53. Re: 108 Tirupathikal....Guide to all these temples... Subbu sir, Thanks for the wonderful information about 108 Divya desangal. I had been to Thiruvellikeni (Triplicane), Tirupathi, Kanchipuram, Tiruvellore, and of course my grandma's native place Thiruvaheendapuram. My mom recently went for a 10 days trip to Nava Tirupathi. Anyways, enjoyed reading! regards, Sindhu
