Veg. Biriyai Gravy !

    Veg. Biriyai gravy !


    Ingredients :


    For dry fry :

    Peanuts 1 cup

    Sesame seeds 2 table spoon

    Dried coconut 2 – 3 table spoons


    Fry in oil:

    Oil 2 tea spoon

    Onion 1 medium or small onion one hand full

    Ginger garlic paste 1 table spoon

    Or garlic 10 – 12 pods and one inch ginger

    Tomato 1 medium

    Fresh coriander leaves one hand full



    Other ingredients:

    Oil 2 tab.spoon

    Cumin seeds 1 tea spoon

    Cinnamon stick 2 inches

    Cardamom 5 – 6

    Bay leaf 1 -2

    Red chilly powder 1 tea spoon

    Turmeric powder ½ spoon

    Coriander powder 2 tea spoon

    Cumin powder 1 tea spoon

    Garam masala powder 1 tea spoon

    Salt to taste

    Fresh coriander leaves one hand full


    Method:

    In a pan, first dry fry peanuts and then ad[A1]d sesame seeds.

    Fry[A1] well and add coconut.

    Sim the stove and fry till you get good aroma from that.

    Remove from the stove and let it cool.

    Again in the same pan pour some oil and put all the ingredients which are to be fried in oil.

    Fry them well and keep aside.

    Now first powder the dry fried items and keep aside.

    Then grind the ingredients that we fired with oil.

    No need to add water, because we are having onions and tomatoes.

    Remove the paste and keep aside.

    Now in the pan pour some oil and make seasoning with Cumin seeds,

    Cinnamon stick, Cardamom, Bay leaf .

    Then add the masala paste and fry well.

    Let the oil comeout of the mixture.

    Keep the gas sim.

    When you see the oil is coming out of the masala, add the powdered masala and mix well.

    Let it fry for two more minutes.

    Now start adding all the other masalas one by one.

    Red chilly powder, Turmeric powder, Coriander powder, Cumin powder,Garam masala

    Powder and Salt to taste.

    Mix them well and allow them to cook of few minutes.


    Now add one to two cups of water in it and mix well.

    Mix well without lumps.

    Allow it to boil and close it with a lid.

    After 5 min. open and see , mix well.

    And trim the salt.

    Let it boil for 2 more minutes.

    Put fresh coriander leaves and remove it from the fire.

    Your Biryani Gravy is ready to serve.


    Note: You can serve this gravy with any kind of pulav or biryani. Or even with chapati also.

    haa..haa.haa....nice to read your reply.... ya, it is too good recipe... while writing and reading it looks very big..but it is very simple and delicious...try once and give me a feed back :)
