    I would like to ask when is the best time to do varalakshmi nombu according to eastern time?..on July 31 st 2009..

    Dear Mrs.Chitra,

    I have a great doubt. Can ladies without the help of their husband, perform the Varalakshmi puja by saying the slokams as you said in your procedure? Because, my husband usually doesn't say any slokams. Even though he is very pious, but puja is always performed by me only.

    Can I get the puja format in tamil. Can you please arrange for this, because the varalakshmi puja of this year falls on july 31st.

    wow.. very nice...
    i never see like this puja i mean doing puja to Laksmi idol..really loocking gud

    at my home till we do puja by inserting Kalasa
    Its looking like "on a bowl of rice, put kalasa on it insert coconet on it insert Jacket, then decorate that whole with gold ornments..etc oh! very less to say in words...
    u know its very very beautiful, attractiveness...
    yah... its true

    Till there is confusing how jacket put on coconut, i tried many time by folding in many directions.. humm every time failed...
    My mom is great for ever, before we wakeup she done all arrangements..

    The diety is decorated on the kalasa with coconut and mango leaves.
    My mom gave me the coconut and mango leaves in Silver as we were not sure whether we would get mango leaves and coconut with kudumi in US. But now-a-days we get it..
