Vallavan...what have tamil movies come to..

Hi Friends,

I happened to see the movie Vallavan acted by Simbu and Nayanthara. I guess Simbu has made the movie. The movie was a disgrace to tamil movies. There was no steady storyline, the screenplay was bad and most of all there was no morality in the movie. A girl readily and willingly has sex with her boyfriend, who justifies the act saying that it was not sex but "making love".She dumps him and is ready to marry another guy without shame or remorse. Well it gets uglier, the guy who comes forward to marry her agrees to get married even after learning the whole story.... Where is our tradition and culture?...May be this is a result of westernisation and globalisation. Am I just too naive, thinking that these things do not actually happen in our culture or do they????? :idontgetit:
Why cant people make movies with morale and dignity so the whole family can watch it....is it too much to ask...
What are your opinions on this friends. Love to hear them.

I saw Vallavan too. Or rather "suffered" it. Utter crap.

That boy Simbu probably thought he was reflecting the lives of modern , urban youth. He might have come across people who have scant regard for traditional values, who knows. It takes all kinds to make up this world.
But in the Movie, when Nayanatara is shown as a devil-may-care young girl, why does she make such a big fuss of the age difference between her and Simbu ?:idontgetit:

But wonder is, this senseless movie was a hit in tamil nadu !:icon_frown:

I Saw Manmadhan also.

He is a Immatured guy.Seems he hates whole world.& he do what he wants do.
he will not give respect to Society.
& He is use & throw type.
He Just don't care about anything.
How people r tolerating him ..I don't know.

No one should not encouarge him.
producers,heroines & all other people should hate him.

Sense less fellow & senseless movies of him.

This is my opinion.

Thanks for ur posts. I cannot believe that this movie was a hit in Tamilnadu.
Are people out of their minds?????????????????.

Moviemakers have decided that Tamil Movie fans will watch any crap that is put out in front of them...which is very pathetic.

Now a days almost all movies r like that.
Only some movies r giving good message.

Even SOne recent telugu movies r also just waste.
I don't know how these Heros & all agree, after knowing the story & all.

When good Inidan Movies will come........???????????
People have to reject the bad movies.then they will get to know.
Any way Good compition is there for movie makers.
which r private channels.
So they will get to know.
Recently 2 bad films of Telugu taught good lesson for movie makers.

Will C...I hope Good message movis will come.

I think there are some good movies out there. The last time I saw a good one was Emmagan. Good family movie as well a nice love story too. It has the best of both worlds.
I think I saw a thread saying Veyil is a good movie. Havent had a chance to see that yet.
Let us hope that more movies of this sort come out....
