    Hi Ladies,

    Is it advisable to try for a 3rd child when you are nearing 35?

    My husband and I wish to have another baby but I'm very scared of the risks. The older I get the more risks I carry.

    Please advice especially those who had experienced late pregnancies. Thank you.

    You should consult Gyno to make sure you are healthy. My second one was born when I was around 35+. I didn't have any problem. But we did all the tests available in US to make sure that baby is healthy including Amniotic Fluid Test (now blood test are available to check chromosomal abnormalities or genetic disorders). I felt much relieved when I learned that my baby is perfectly healthy after doing this test. One of my friend had a baby when she was around 42.. She and baby is also doing well. The attitude of doctors here in US is that you can for babies even when you are 40+, if you are healthy. It depends.. so make sure that you are ready for that based on doctors opinion and do all the test to check baby is fine. Good luck..

    U need to consult the gyn.. eat healthy n it should not be a problem.. and get multi vitamin..
    But don't take me wrong,m not trying to judge u .. u said u r trying for 3rd kid we Indians are already populated y more kids..I m just asking ..
