Recently I read an article in the Tamil weekly magazine written by Sathguru Jaki Vasudev.. about death…in his article he had written that he himself once attempted suicide by taking plenty of sleeping pills to know what is death…..briefly he had described the suicide attempters….the causes….and ended the article as “It’s a crime as we don’t have the right to destroy the thing which doesn’t belong to us…..we have the right to live….no matter how as the living creatures in the universe other than humans never finish off their life in the midst, struggle to survive till their last breath. Why can’t we? ” …
After reading this ..my mind was fully occupied by the term SUICIDE…is it the only way to solve problems? Which motivation makes the minds of such people to do so….will all their trials & tribulations be solved for ever? Not trying to give the answers but decided to bring out some realities of life in times of thunder-bolts & storm because Prevention is always better than cure.

There is sometimes we'll feel stress, upset, disappointed, unhappy, suffer and think negatively in life. Our life won't just go smoothly and nothing happen until the end...
Problems are part and parcel of life. Some problems are welcoming but we really try hard to avoid them, never look for better ways to face them. We people always lives on better choices not bitter ones. But where there's a will there's a way. For every problem, there's an alternative course of action. You just have to find it. Problems, like cancers, usually stay around and spread. So, it's better to confront the situation before it becomes an emergency. The real problem is not that there are problems. The problem is expecting otherwise and thinking that having problems is a problem. When you accept problems, you also learn to have a contingency plan. For instance, when you know there is a danger of fire, you keep extinguishers handy. The important thing to remember about conflicts is that they happen all the time and they are actually opportunities disguised as problems. They provide us with better ways to fix what needs to be fixed and improve what needs to be improved.

Here’s a story I’ve once read in the Internet, which relates more with my topic….

Tired of a life of struggle, a young woman sought her mother's advice. She told her how things were so hard for her and how she was unable to cope with problems. Her mother took her to the kitchen and filled three pots with water. In the first, she put carrots, in the second, she put eggs and in the last, she placed coffee beans. She let them boil without saying a word. Twenty minutes later, she turned off the burners and asked her daughter, "What do you see?"
"Carrots, eggs, and coffee," the daughter replied. The mother drew her closer and told her to feel the carrots. She did and saw that they were soft. She was then asked to take an egg and break it. On shelling, the daughter found a hard-boiled egg. Finally, she was asked to sip the coffee. The daughter smiled, as she tasted its rich aroma. Perplexed, she asked, "What's your point, mother?" Her mother explained that each of these objects had faced the same adversity -boiling water - but each had reacted differently. The carrot went in strong, hard and unrelenting, but soon turned soft and weak. The egg, when put to the test, had hardened. However, the ground coffee beans were unique. They had changed the texture of the water and filled it with their aroma. "Which are you?" she asked her daughter. "When problems knock on your door, how do you respond? Are you a carrot, an egg, or a coffee bean?"

    The story ends……….

Ask for yourself which one are you? Are you the carrot that seems strong, but wilts in the face of pain and adversity? Are you the egg that starts with a malleable heart, but hardens when in adversity? Or, are you like the coffee bean, which actually changes the water, the very circumstance that brings the pain, by its fragrance and flavour.
Life is rarely black and white; most situations are in shades of grey, with a complex mixture of thoughts and feelings. There are going to be some heart breaking situations that will make you feel like it is the end of the world. In most instances, it won't really be the end of the world. You will feel like your heart and your guts have been ripped from your body and stomped into the dust, and you may feel this way for months, but you will survive it and you will move on.You can have a smooth drive over a bumpy-road.
    Always remember... There's a wish, there's a way!

    Hi Yashikushi

That was a great example about the carrot, eggs and the coffee reacting to the circumstances that cause pain.

    I Liked the following line
You can have a smooth drive over a bumpy-road

    Hi Yashi,

Truly said" Where there is a will , there is a way".

Life is not always smooth, and may be if we start searching for a person who had a smooth sail all his life, we might come back to zero, for there is nothing perfect.
What we can do is learn from our mistakes and even learn from other mistakes, it may make atleast one road smooth !!

    Nice write up..

    Thanks..
