Trust Is Belief & Belief is Not Trust

Are belief and trust one & the same?

A person started to walk on a thick rope tied between two tall skyscrapers. He was trudging along from one end to the other end of the rope, balancing himself holding a long stick at its middle with his strong hands.

He had his toddler-son too sitting around his shoulders.

Spectators on the ground were in awe watching him in bated breath and were tense.

When he had by and by reached the other end, the spectators all clapped heavily, whistled and welcomed him down.

They shook hands and took selfies.

He asked the crowd
“do you all think now that I can trudge back on the same rope now in reverse direction?”

All the spectators shouted in one voice “Yes, Yes, of course ..you can.."

Do you trust me, he asked?

They in one voice replied affirmatively and said "we are even ready to bet on you".

Then he told them, "OK - if that is so, can any one of you hand over your kid to sit on my shoulder; I will take that kid on my shoulder and trudge on the rope to the other side safely..

There was hush hush talk among the spectators but not a single one came forward to offer their kid for this challenging walk.

This demonstrates that Belief & Trust are two different things.

For Trust you need to surrender totally.

This is what majority lack towards the Great Designer - The Almighty in today’s world.

We believe in Almighty . But do we trust Him at all?
