Travelling to US with a 3 month old son on a dependent visa

Hi Everyone,

I would be travelling with my 3 month old to US (Jersey City, NJ). I would be getting a family health insurance but before I get that do I need to do any preparation:

E.g. A friend told me that you need to finalize the a doctor for my baby before coming here?

Are there things which I need to take care before I leave India.

Appreciate your help.

You have a good friend.

Do you know where you are going to live? Find out good hospitals nearby. You can even choose the pediatrician you like. Call their office and ask them whether that particular pediatrician accepts new patients and your insurance.

If you get YES, ask them what needs to be done before your bring your child for future visit - high likely due to vaccinations.

You can post all your questions(silly or not) on this forum. I assume there are plenty of Indians from Jersey city on this forum.
