    Ladies,

We're visiting San Francisco next month and I want to know the list of places to visit. San Diego and SFO are the only places left in CA. We also don't know how many days it will take for the trip. Can you please help?

Also, where is the best area to stay and do we need a rental car to roam around?

    Thanks!

    TheBeliever,

We already visited LA and LV. We already visited Disney World, FL. So, no plans to visit again.

We're planning to stay from 7/4 to 7/8 (5 days). Not sure if it will be too many days or too little days to visit in and around SFO.

Thanks. What are the activities to do in Yosemite? We don't have kids and we are traveling alone this time without friends.

Near SFO, u can check out Pier 39, Muir's woods, Alcatraz, take a cruise across the bay, visit Golden Gate bridge, Santa Cruz beach, Mystery Place, Monterey Bay etc...
Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, Shasta lake etc... would be a day's trip each.

Legoland, sea world in san diego are theme parks. Mostly beaches are same but LA beaches are warmer than SFO beaches, you can plan some beach activities like boogie board which is so much fun.

You may not like to visit disneyland but universal studio will be on your way to san diego.

You definitely need rental car to drive around.

    pman16,

I think we'll skip San Diego this time. I already visited San Diego once. But my husband didn't. So, thought of going there if time permits. After looking at the list of things to do in SFO, I think we won't have enough time for San Diego trip.

    Thanks RinaSinha!

Lake Tahoe and Yosemite are in our list (Thanks TB). I don't think we'll bisit Shasta lake if it will consume 1 full day (am i right?)

Other things you mentioned above, I added them in my list.

Do we need rental car to roam around? I believe we need to take one for Lake Tahoe and Yosemite trip.

Also, what is the best area to stay (kind of central)?
