Education has become a target to be achieved by any means, overwork at school, extra tuitions after college, extra classes.:bonk :bowdownParents are ready to grab a seat for their child irrespective of the choice and interest of the kid. Now-a-days, there is so much pressure on the kids and I feel that is mainly because, parents try to fulfill their ambitions through their children. At schools too the tenth exam result is the aim of the school, they grind the children for one and half years, what they should be learning in a year! Children are loosing their childhood due to the special IIT classes right from 6th standard ! (is it really necessary for a 6th grade) Can the child really remember all that he is taught in those lower classes? At that age he can't even decide if he wants to be an Engineer or doctor or teacher or Civil servant or a scientist! How can the child learn that when he is not exposed in the society. From morning 8 to evening 7 he is at school and what time is left out for the child to develop physically and mentally. He only knows what he is taught! There is no room for learning with experiences from the society ..... the complete educational system of our country should be altered. Gaining Knowledge is far worth than getting a rank in X class or any exam for that matter. Yesterday, I was watching the show on which Hillary Clinton was with Arnab and Aamir Khan, that was truly inspiring and hopeful for a better tomorrow. For today's students are tomorrow's brain of the country.
hi Being a mom of 12th Son,I feel the same.Exactly expressed the students perplex mentality in accordance with studies. Accepting today's competitive world.The mugging and summing up won't produce any thinking capacity.We are keen on Making only the money making machines,not valued humans. We have to be very careful in making a socialization society. Thanks.
