nice thread on thuvials............ when i make thuvial in my house they just eat rice with thuvial and rasam rice, no rice with curry, this thuvial below is my favourite and i make thuvial only on ammi kallu and i dont use the mixer
vow !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it will taste superb

    tur daal thuvial

    1 tbspn tur dal
    1/2 tbspn coconut gratings
3 red chillies or green chillies
    1 tsp tamarind paste
2 to 3 flakes of garlic, if you dont like garlic you can add little ginger

fry tur dal to golden brown, now add garlic or ginger, then chillies, coconut, tamarind paste and put it in the mixer
this thuvial goes well with rice and rasam

    Parappu thuvial

    Ingredients:

    Thur dal 1 cup
    Salt
    Oil

    Method:

Just put 1/2 sp oil in a pan and fry thur dal well.
In a mixer grinder grind it with salt and water.
Remove from the grinder and serve with hot rice.
We usually prepare this thuvial as a good side dish for Poondu rasam.
You can have this with 'vethal kuzhumbu' or 'vendhya kuzhumbu' also.
    That is with garlic rasam.
Children will like this thuvial very much because of its soft taste.

i made peerkanga thuvaiyal today and love it, whenever the season i make it along with the skin, we used to have smooth peerkanga when i was small never seen it in the market grt for bhajji, which my thatha used to love asking me to make it most days..it had got on to the gooseberry tree and my if we do not notice it would go waste as the tenderness vanish by the third day..nice thuvaiyal thread..sunkan
