    Re: preserving tomatos

Wash & chop tomatoes. Pressurise them without adding water for 2 whistles. Cool, open & pass through the kitchen press to filter seeds & skin etc.
Next start boiling it to reduce volume. It should get concentrated to one third its original volume. Cool & store in freezer.

Re: Curry leaves oil for hair

No need to sun dry; use directly. It will initially splutter, but settle down.

Re: Corn starch and corn flour

Both are same. From net I came to know that both are same . Corn flour after adding to soup or gravy,it thicken it and give a strong taste . But when we add corn starch ,it will not leave any different taste.

Re: Corn starch and corn flour

They are not the same. Corn flour is yellow, corn starch is white. Some Indian recipe books use the term corn flour erroneously for corn starch. Corn flour would be what you want for frying. The corn meal sold here in USA is ground a little coarser than the corn flour sold in Indian stores. You could also use some thing like Martha White self rising corn bread flour for coating which is widely used here for coating and frying catfish and it is of a finer grind.
