They May Look Small and Innocent, But WATCH OUT!!!!

OK Indus Ladies, thought I'd take a try at short story writing....

David turned off his laptop, unplugged it from the outlet and packet it in his computer carrying case. Then, he slung the computer carrying case over his right shoulder.

As he left his cubicle, he opened the door into the hallway, said "Good Night" to Lila, the matronly receptionist who replied, "Take it easy, Sugar." Lila addressed the young men as Sugar, and the young ladies as Honey.

David exited the two glass doors that were inscribed by the company's logo. This was a Multinational Fortune 500 corporation that had official logos in over 48 languages.

David then walked towards the center of the hallway to press the elevator. As he waited for the elevator, he looked at his Crackberry, err Blackberry to check his email one last time before the elevator would cut of access to this device.

The elevator finally arrived.

There was one young lady who was carrying a purse and she was staring at the button display at the elevator, wondering when it will reach the lobby. She had to hurry home to make dinner for her parents, and get a good night's sleep to start bright and early the next day.

There were two other ladies older than the young lady, perhaps 5 to 10 years older. One of them had a baby stroller, with a one-month old sleeping.

David got in the elevator and saw that Lobby was pressed, and the elevator closing. David was facing the elevator door while the young lady, two ladies, and baby stoller with sleeping one-month old was behind him.

Suddenly, David heard a huge roar, as if there was a Lion in the elevator. When David looked around, everything was normal. The young lady was staring at the elevator buttons, the two ladies were chatting about, and the one-month old was sleeping.

This time, the roar was louder, and same thing. David looked around, everyone was acting normal as before. David slowly turned back to the front.

At last, the roar was EARTHSHATTERING, yet David didn't look back, thinking it was all in his head. He was telling himself, "It's in my head, the boss is a $%^#^ making me work so late, I'm tired, I need a unwind."

Suddenly, David felt the hairs on his back stand up. Something supernatural made him look back where the sleeping one-month old was.

Only this, time the one-month old wasn't asleep.

The one-month old was awake, sittting upright in his stroler, with big fangs, and said, "Whaaaazzzz Uuuuuupppp"

David was wide-eyed and terrified.

Suddenly, the one-month old jumped on David, and ate him in one swoop.

David was suddenly shaken. He had been dozing off and when the elevator stopped at lobby, it woke him out of his drowsiness.

By now, the young lady looking at the elevator buttons was leaving the elevator, turning on her cell phone to call home. She was miffed that this young man was still standing still in the elevator, but had to hurry home.

David slowly got out of the elevator, shaken by his dream, but got into the usual routine of things with his Crackberry, err, Blackberry, and headed to Starbucks, for he still had things to do and needed to stay awake.

And the sleeping one-month old....

Well the baby was awake, and whimpering.

"Oh, there, there honey," said one of the young ladies, who was rolling him out of the elevator. She picked up the baby, placed him on her left shoulder and gently patted him on the back.

The baby let out an impressive burp.
