    Hi Cheeniya sir,

:clap:clap to Kriti for the wonderful story...and Bow to you for being inspired by it and sharing it with us...

I have heard this story before....

Yes, Cheeniya sir, there are mothers who still teach their kids to feel important ..not just for their material achievements......My Mum was like that ..and so is my MIL...

I too beleive, everyone are unique and special in their own ways. Cannot replace anyone....just like the fingers cannot be replaced by one another...........

I admire the way you handle the present situation ....very humble of you.....as Malathi has said...Age does matter....

    Bye

    Dear Cheeniya Sir,

A very good moral write up with a gud coclusion.
This strikes me of a proverb "Comparisions are odious".Each one has their own uniqueness and significance.

Thanks for coming up with such a gud moral pieces.
    Do come up with more......

    Regards
    Spandhana

    Dear Aruna
Whenever I face a fight for supremacy, stories like these help me to keep a balanced mind. Our contribution to our family, society and the country at large would depend on what we want to do and can do rather than what position we occupy. The sun and moon may be far brighter than a torch but to search for something in a dark corner where sunlight can not reach, the torch becomes vital. There is no question, therefore, about who is bigger or more important.

    Dear Sri sir,

An opt topic here at the most apprapriate moment. Hats off to you, Kirti and the mother of Kirti's friend.

Yes, I had heard of this story before but hearing from you opens new perspective. One more story added where I can narrate the same to my kid during bedtime.

Thanks Sri sir for bringing this to us.

    Dear Madhu
From Aesop's fables to our epics, we learn such vital lessons continually but when we face a crisis, we tend to forget these lessons. These stories are told to us from childhood but we forget them the moment we are past our childhood!
Nice having you here and hearing your wonderful FB, Madhu

    Dear Cheeniya Sir,

Such a wonderful topic emphasising the importance of each and everything in life.
I understand the feeling of importance though existent from a tiny tot to an elderly person, yet should not deprieve one of the meaning of humanity.
Feeling of importance is good, but feeling of superiority can only bring destruction to oneself and to the others around.
When one learns to respect oneself and believes in oneself then the others too would believe in them. The insecurities one has sometimes makes them behave in a very irrational manner. I totally agree that everyone in this world has been created with some plusses and minusses. Its upto each one to understand their potential and tap it and to also at the same time understand their limitations.
Maligning some one who they think is weak is no show of superiority, infact its a pathetic approach a show of bad morals and only brings forth the insecurities in life.
Im glad the little finger knew its importance. Though it dint go around blowing his trumpet .I guess the victory also lies in silence.Like they say Maunam Vidhvana Bhushanam.!

You have narrated it so wonderfully.Tell Kithu I loved it and a special thanks to her.

    Love,
    Your Mol
