Thanks a lot, Suma. After writing the story here I made it into a Tamil mini novel and it was published in 2008 under the heading Oru Katha Nayaganin Kathai.

Thanks for investing your time in reading my serials. Hope at the end of the day it is all worth the while.
    love,

You are right. Unless I vibe with the name I cant write well. Many times I used to have Sharada as a name and write the whole story. Then I will use control find replace function to replace it with some other name.
Sharada, Raghavan are all soft names. They are easy to write especially if you write in Tamil.

A wonderful story again. Could not agree more that nothing comes in the world free of cost. You have narrated it so well. Thank you very much for sharing. Also can you please tell me where I can get your books. I would love to read your works in tamil.

Dear V, very nice story. Vidya indeed was very brave to attempt what she did.

Dear V, I have a quick question for you. The story ended and I am prepared to accept the things which have already happened (just like in real life). We cant change what has already happened. However, we can reflect on our actions. I am reflecting on Vidya's steps.

I am wondering why Vidya didnt consider seeking help from her dad in times of desperate need. I mean, as good a soul as she is, she was OK to sleep with an arse (pardon my language) but not approach her own father? I understand she has self respect and all, yet, why did she compromise and slept with a man whom she is not 100% sure would help her husband than approach her dad who will for sure 100% help her? What was gong on in her mind? She is smart and sensible from the beginning itself. I was surprised that she let the emotions come in the way of business (like sleeping with cousin is a business bargain, a wiser step would have been to approach her father). You know what I mean?
Perhaps its merely a decision taken under stress and not fully though through? If thats the case, I take back my question.

    Its a great love story...very nice V.

That's a good question Rakhii. And here lies a lesson which every father has to learn. Daughters are the best judges when it comes to their fathers.

If her Dad had been a loving Dad she would not have thought twice before asking him. Vidya was prepared to listen to her father's 'I told you so' advice. But the problem was that there was also a chance he might turn her down. That character is quite capable of doing that. Even when he finally consented to help it was only because of the profit motive and not to help his daughter or son-in-law. No self-respecting daughter can accept a no from her father after his shouting at her.

Secondly, Vidya was not sure how her husband would take that step.

Thirdly, the problem was not just a question of money which Vidya's father could have readily provided. It was exerting influence at one of the worlds' most corrupt places, the tinsel world. Nobody could have done that like Chandar.

If Vidya's husband had left his cinema dreams and had wanted a normal life her father would have been of help, assuming he sheds his attitude. But Raghavan wanted an acting chance. and hence Vidya was forced to take this route.

Dear V, I think I underestimated Vidya. I mean, I shoud have understood that she would have considered her father as a reliable source provided he exhibits some sensitivity. Your explanation makes sense. Thanks you.
