Just have a look what they have created in a desert... The Jebel Hafeet Mountain Road in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is the greatest driving road in the world. Stretching for 7.3 miles and climbing nearly 4,000 feet, it boasts 60 corners and a surface so smooth that it would flatter a racetrack. It could easily be described as the eighth wonder of the world, but almost nothing is known about its creation. The road is cut into the Jebel Hafeet Mountain , the highest peak in the United Arab Emirates , the oil-rich Persian Gulf state. The mountain spans the border with Oman and lies about 90 minutes' drive southeast of the thriving city of Dubai . It looks down upon a dusty, desert landscape that belies a nation of astonishing wealth
Dear Shanvy, Thanks for sharing this info with us. The aerial view of a part of Oman from the mountains looks awesome!! Whenever we go there, we talk of putting up a Balaji photo (to give us the Tirupathi-effect!!) hahaha Regards USHA
Yes usha. It is never stops from being breath taking these roads. The roads to jebel akthar also... There is wadi bani kalid if u have been there, that road is also breathtaking in its own way on a smaller way. On a lighter note, may be if we request, the sultan would not mind our putting one photo there.
This is just amazing. Arabs have so much money and they do all types of crazy things which nobody cant even think of ... sometimes to flaunt their money and their money and most of the times in a highly constructive manner. I mean UAE and saudi arab have developed so much... Dubai is almost like US and Europe combined in one city...
