    @Amica
    My myopic eyes start watering if I spend a lot of time before my PC or TV and when the old movies which show the vintage coughing Doraisamy are telecast, the bad prints make my eyes water more. While I know that half of the tears are due to my myopic eyes, the remaining half is due to the plight of the movie characters which I can diagnose through the lumps I feel in my throat. Fortunately these lumps are not visible outside and my grandchildren simply tell me to go and give my eyes some rest.

    My dear Satchi
    This phenomenon is something I can relate to. Let me explain. Some of the actions of my daughters some three decades back when they were in their teens used to make me furious. I used to be highly critical of their actions but as a fringe benefit, this was the time I evolved into a spirited orator. But the same actions of my grandchildren today simply result in my grinning from ear to ear like a classic smiley! So generation gap can be both endogenous and exogenous.

    @kaniths
    These two ladies seem to be more interested in adjusting their goggles than popping the corn into their mouth. The guys standing behind are laughing helplessly!

    Very true , it is just our way of thinking and I think if we change a little with the times, it helps. Lakshmi

    Very, very true , when I see scenes from some old Kannada films, I find it a little funny that I used to love those films long back and even remember the story now. Most of those films I would not sit and watch completely, but those old songs are evergreen. Lakshmi
