थायलंड मध्ये जगातील सर्वात उंच(१३० फूट) गणेशाची मूर्ती
थायलंडच्या ख्लॉन्ग ख्वान्ग शहरातल्या ‘ गणेश इंटरनॅशनल पार्क’ मध्ये गणपतीची जगातली सगळ्यात उंच मूर्ती आहे. या कांस्याच्या मूर्तीची उंची ३९ मीटर(१३० फूट) आहे. मूर्तीच्या डोक्यावर कमळाचं फूल असून त्यात ‘ओम’ अंकित आहे.
मूर्ती कांस्याच्या ८५४ भागांपासून बनवली आहे. गणपतीच्या मूर्तीसह हे पार्कची निर्मिती २००८ ते २०१२ अशा ४ वर्षात झाली. थायलंडमध्ये ४ फळं पवित्र मानली जाणारी फणस, आंबा, ऊस आणि केळी ही चार फळे मूर्तीच्या हातात ठेवली आहेत.
थायलंडमध्ये आंबा समृद्धीचं प्रतीक मानला जातो. गणपतीच्या पोटावर सापाने वेटोळे घातले आहेत, सोंडेमध्ये लाडू आणि पायाजवळ उंदीर आहे. थायलंडमध्येही गणपतीला ज्ञान आणि बुद्धीमत्तेची देवता मानतात.
थायलंडमधली (Thailand) अयोध्या म्हणजेच अयुथ्या साम्राज्यात चाचोएंगशाओ नावाचे शहर १५४९ मध्ये वसवण्यात आले. या शहराची ‘चाचोएंगशाओ असोसिएशन’ ही संस्था धार्मिक आणि सामाजिक कार्यात नेहमी पुढे असते. या असोसिएशनचे अध्यक्ष पोल जेन समाचाई वानीशेनी यांनी जगातली गणपतीची सगळ्यात उंच मूर्ती बनवायचे ठरवले. संस्थेला ख्लॉन्ग ख्वान्ग शहरात ४० हजार वर्ग मीटर जागा मिळाली. ही जमीन सुपीक आणि कृषीप्रधान क्षेत्र असल्यामुळे गणपतीची मूर्ती स्थापन करण्यासाठी निवडण्यात आली. सगळ्यात आधी या जागेवर ‘इंटरनॅशनल गणेश पार्क’ बनवण्यात आलं. मग मूर्ती बसवण्यात आली.
स्थानिक इतिहासाच्या संवर्धन आणि सुरक्षेसाठी चाचोएंगशाओ असोसिएशनने इथे एक सेंट्रल म्युझियमही बनवले आहे. या भागामध्ये कित्येक शतकांपासून हिंदू संस्कृती नांदते आहे. मागच्यागेल्या काही वर्षांत थायलंडच्या बँक पॅकांग नदीच्या आसपासचे क्षेत्र सगळ्यात मोठे पर्यटन क्षेत्र बनले आहे. त्यामुळे तिथले लोक आंतरराष्ट्रीय देवाची सगळ्यात मोठी मूर्ती तिकडेच असावी, अशी मागणी करत होते. गणपतीची मूर्ती बसवण्यावर सगळ्यांची सहमती झाली.
ही मूर्ती तिथले प्रख्यात मूर्तीकार पिटक चर्लेमलाओ यांनी तयार केली आहे. गणपतीची ही मूर्ती जगातली सगळ्यात उंच आहे असा चाचोएंगशाओ असोसिएशनचा दावा आहे.
