LOL !!! This was my first attempt at writing a poem...well, I should say second attempt...as the one and only one that I wrote was during my college days for my best friend...! Now you are my mentor for writing poems !!! Guruji, my pranams :-D :-D ...I guess I understood the poetic advice faster, because you make it sound so simpler, and down-to-earth :)

And thank you Vijima for a very quick Like :)

Happy to read yours too, OutOfTheBox.

When I read the verse of OutOfTheBox,
I felt like a spectator in a live magic show.
This magician pulled a verse from her stock
Which keeps filling at a rapid rate, you know?

For the other posters will come and tell hey!
Why are you hijacking RGS's post,
Rather than being a silent ghost!!!

    :-D :-D :-D

Point accepted with thanks, OutOfTheBox. Just one more teaser!
Many of us are interested in
    Ghost stories. Are we not?
A silent ghost brings a chill in
Our bones that I'm afraid not

To face one such at all you see?
A talkative one is much better.
As it may give up, cry and plea
To be freed so it can vanish faster. :) -rgs

    Rgs,

A poignant pondering and a timely one.

We live in the society where people don't bother to know their neighbours forget the newspaper boys, the maids and the milk man.

this morning when i was walking around our apartments, i saw the regular newspaper boy training a 10 year old and did ask him why is this small boy coming to deliver paper, and he told me that the boy wanted to share the family burden, and delivering newspaper around the area before school was easy on him. and as you say the kids are so prompt and deliver the paper by 5.45 everyday.

I am happy that i have not taken them for granted. i know my newspaper agent, the delivery boy which school he goes. my maid and her family, her medical history. the same goes to the boy who comes home from the orphanage once in two months.

the delivery boy from the super market, the billing clerks in the market (infact they enquired about me once i went there after a month long hiatus:bowdown..)

I believe it takes just a smile, to reach out to them, you get a place in their hearts, even though they remain invisible. you build bridges with a hello or a smile.

thanks for making me retrospect myself..surprisingly i have been good atleast in this aspect, everybody has a reason to be in my life, be it my maid, my milkman, paper walah or the vendors on the roadside..:cheers

A post which really made me think and think and think as to when was the last time I thanked or appreciated my brain, heart, hands, fingers, foot, etc...for all the hard work they have been doing everyday/night from the time born, to make me to be whom I am.

    With gratitude Sir!

Wow! What a feedback! Shows your gentle nature and the zeal in fellow human beings Shanvy. I am moved. Besides, there are many more traits in you other than this, each worthier even more than this. There are hundreds of ILs who can vouch for that. Thanks. -rgs

And yes, you are superfast. Also, I don't always write verses for all my snippets. Only for those for which I can, I write. :)

They always are a class apart. And we look up to them and wonder whether we will ever be closer to them. Thanks Mindi, for another feedback. And sorry to know about your father's not being here in physical form.

    Just for you -

    They are not here now.
    Yes. Its correct.
    But we remember their love.
    Always. Thats correct too.

As long as they live in our minds
They are still living amidst us.
As long as our body and mind
Co-exist, we'll find them in us.
