I am very new to tailoring.
    But very crazy to learn..
to stich.. to design my clothes.
I am interested to learn on my own.. using the tutorials ..
Before that, I wanna buy a new tailoring machine and other essentials to sew..
I have heard about 'usha' brand.. but I couldn't understand its varieties.. Which to buy?

I don't wish to go for any tailoring classes..
Please help me how to start / share useful links or experiences..
    Thanks for reading patiently.

I think to learn basic things you have to go to a class. There are many terms which you understand when you learn in a class. You need some guidence to operate sewing sewing machine. It will be very difficult to teach each and every step in a tutorial for a teacher.

    Oh thanks ma.
    So let me try it.
    Does it work in electricity?
Do we have to pedal manually?
How much does it cost approximately?
Hope you bear with my silly questions...

usha, singer both have got their own basic models that work with electric power as well as pedal power. these are termed to be portable. but would need a table to place the m/c. but usha has got an option which provides table too for the sewing machine. would cost ~10k, includes electric pedal+manual pedal+table

So, it looks like a normal sewing machine but has a electric motor connected too. Probably, website can give you more info.

Usha Sewing Machines, Portable Mini Sewing Machine, Industrial Sewing Machine - Usha International Ltd

Apart from that, the basic models come with basic stitching options. And the # of options increase with the model and price.
