Hi Abha,

I have been really wanting to watch this movie for some time now.specially after watching all the promos for it.

The child Darsheel has such an expressive face and Aamir is of course Aamir! The song "Maa" makes me break into tears every time I hear it on TV...

Thanks for the review...makes my determination to see it even stronger...

Abhishek Bachchan dyslexia Story

In Taarein Zameen Par Aamir has cited the example of Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan as someone who was dyslexic in his childhood but has now become a superstar.

The scene has Aamir showing a poster of Abhishek to the kids and saying: Aap inhe toh jaante honge, inhe bhi padhne mein problem hoti thi, lekin aaj dekho, yeh duniya mein Dhoom machaiye huye hain . After Aamir says this, the whole class breaks into the song Dhoom Machale Dhoom.

Before shooting the scene, Aamir took permission from the Bachchan family to use Abhishek's name and image.

Watched the movie couple of days back, and it is awesome, please dont miss to watch the movie. Darsheel's acting is mind blowing and Amair as always acted superbly.

Must watch movie for everyone. as Abha rightly said please have some tissues with you. there are so many scenes where you need them and the song "Ma" is very touching...

Hope everyone will watch the movie...

 

I have heard amazing reviews for this movie - cannot wait to see it! I understand very little hindi - so hopefully not too much is lost in the subtitles!

 

Taare Zameen Par is an excellent movie and worth the money. I too would suggest all the parents and children to go and watch the movie. It stirs our soul and brings tears in our eyes.

I too saw the movie yesterday with my family at the theatre.

My 3 yr old was simply glued to the seat....occassionally kept on popping questions such as.. " Why is the boy crying/ Why is his mom crying/ Why did his parents leave him?
Questions which I replied to her teary eyed.
Yes.. Do keep tissues handy while watching this movie.
The Song "Maa" is sooooo touchy ..
Im sure every one who has watched it , must have had tears rolling down their cheeks
