Stories for kids- princess and the beggar

Once there lived a king, he had a pretty cute beautiful daughter who was her dream of his life. She was so adorable and brilliant. The king wanted to get her daughter married to a well mannered, intelligent boy. The princess had one small condition, one who can tell her stories till she Goes tired will be her mam. So the king set up for swayamvara. His minister ordered the personnel to carry the message across the kingdom.
The next morning came a big gathering and lots of eligible bachelors had lined up. The princess is all set to listen to the stories. The first person told her a sort story, she said, 'ok, what's next?'. He didn't know anymore to tell her. The second person told her ten stories. But the princess was still wanting to hear more. So the entire crowd vanished telling the stories to her but nobody gave her enough stories. The king was so worried.
Then came a beggar with torn and shabby dress. People discouraged him meeting the princess. But he was confident that he could tell the princess stories.
Here is the story...
'Once there lived a bird in a tree. It was so hungry. It flew out of his nest in search of food. He looked on to its right, no food...he looked in to its left, no food....he kept flying flying for quite sometime and he spotted in one open terrace were heaps of grains. He thanked the person who had kept grains for sun drying. He landed next to the grains. He picked one grain and ate it. It was so delicious,yumm yumm..so he decided to fill granary , his nest with grains, he picked one grain, Flew high high up in the sky and landed in his nest and kept it safe. He then flew back to the terrace. He picked another grain , flew high up in the sky and landed in his nest and kept it safe, he again flew back to the terrace. He picked one more grain.......flew back to the terrace. He kept repeating these lines for one hundred grains.'

Our dainty princess got tired of listening to picking and landing..she told the beggar to top his stories. The king was surprised. The princess married the beggar. This beggar was so intelligent so he helped the king in all ministerial matters. They lived happily ever after.
