I wash them in a dishwasher (top rack) but I would think just hand washing right away with soap and water and air drying should be enough.

Poonam, I used to sterilize bottles for the first few months, but did not sterilize cups/bowls and spoons. I think making sure they are washed clean, and air-dried should be enough.

    Hi,

I sterilze cup/spoon once in the night time along with bottles.
And wash with hot water after feeding.

This is late but I was sterilizing DS's bowl and spoon until 8 months. I used to boil them up for about 10 minutes (rolling boil). After that it was hot water rinsing until 1 year and then I stopped.

I know this is probably not available in India yet, but I have a Lotus sanitizing system and it has attachments for use on baby bottles and for toothbrushes. You could certainly process baby dishes in the bowl attachment. I bought it for cleaning fruits and veg and it takes off both bacteria and pesticides. The difference in taste is sometimes very noticeable. It also has a bottle for use in cleaning around the home (very good on windows). The science behind it is superoxygenating cold tap water (adding ozone). The water smells like after a rain shower. 240v models are being marketed in Australia.
