Sree Rama Navami

Sree Rama Navami is celebrated in a great manner in our place. 9 days of katha kalashyam, laksharchana, seetha kalyanam, bhajans, special kolams and prasadams are all elaborately planned and conducted. The blessings of Sri Rama, Seetha Devi, Hanuman , Lakshmana are taken by one and all. Special sadhi (feast) on the penultimate day is always a hit. On the final day the detailed great procession taking the theru (ratha) of Sri Rama and Seetha Devi, Hanuman and Lakshmana, fully decked, decorates , lighted , is carried across the streets with full gaiety starting late evening and going well into the night with bhajans, nadaswaram etc is something that is always memorable. The entire community becomes one family during these nine days. Some photographs as below :
