South Indian to settle down in Ahmedabad

    Hi

    We are planning to move to Ahmedabad (from Chennai) next academic year due to my husband's job. I have two kids aged 12 years and 7 years. Please let me know how is the city for a south indian. Also brief about the education system and the cost of living there. My kids have taken hindi as second language. Please let me know how is hindi there as compared to chennai. Is gujarati a must in CBSE schools?

    Ahmedabad is a lovely place to live in - not only for Gujaratis, but for people of all castes.

    Gujaratis are very hospitable and will not make you feel out of place at all.

    Economically also, its a good place.

    As for the academic queries, I am not the right person to comment.
