Sohan halwa for ganesh festival

    dear sudha..i have kept a name for shubha..triple A i.e all in all abu dhabi shubha.. evalo peyar avalukku..:)

    thank you once again for visiting this thread...sandy is asking me ' you taught me so many difficult recipes but never taught me this one..' so will be teaching her this halwa next week.

    What food colour have you used...?? lovely colour.. I like your 2 plates a lot..nicely displayed.

    Last week my DD had made this sweet with 2 colours...i will try posting it within few minutes..

    I never taught my DD this simple recipe..so last week on saturday as lord balaji's prasad she made it herself using 2 colours...
    I am uploading the pictures without her knowledge...

    How old is your dd ? :cheers Hats off to her:thumbsup to make the double coloured sohan halwa..please share the procedure !!!!!

    I have used red food colour which i had bought from india...the one used in bakeries. (paper packing)

    I have got a pink liquid food colour also (available in stores here)..Planning to try it out next time and see how it turns out to be....!!!!!

    My friends too like the banana design plate and the bright yellow plate...they are attractive...!!!!!!!!

    Dear sunitha..

    Even i will try getting this food colour from india..

    My DD is 18 years old..she is interested in cooking...past few days she is learning a lot..will try posting some of hers..

    For 2 colour sohan halwa..Just 1 min before you get the right consistency divide the halwa into 2 portions..and add the desired 2 colours seperately and cook and then pour one portion on the other on the tray..when its set..cut into pieces...
