    Beautiful snippet... At one time my mind used to be so silent but now it has upped its roaring voice as id with vengeance I am trying to silence it... To me silence is a beauty that only the person who knows it .can know joys...

    Hello Surya,
    Often times we appear silent outside but we are restless inside.We remain silent to avoid confrontation but it does not give us peace inside.
    If we could seek silence within ourselves, rest of the silence would be easily acquired.Samadhi would be the great state of mind where silence could be experienced as divine pleasure.

    The paradox is when you regonise your mind is silent, your mind is not silent! Thought is the voice of the mind. Your response takes me to different dimensions of silence. Silence is a beauty like a silent lake. No ripples. Just a beauty.

    Dear BHAVNAM6,

    Yes, deep waters run silent. There can be a volcano inside a person who is silent.

    I think it is a long long way to go before we reach that silence in mind which gives us the divine pleasure which you have indicated. Or is it easy for those who practice the detached attachment naturally as a way of life?

    I can never be silent... And if my dear ones are silent..., that silence kills me.. Silence has a lot of meaning... But the most killing silence is when U are made to realize ur mistakes, ur act etc through the silence of another person

    Thanks for your feedback and appreciation.

    Well said the above words! When one of us becomes silent, (my DH and I)the other becomes sad and restless. After sometime ,the one who is sad smiles at the other who is silent.( Ofcourse a sad smile!). All is forgiven and forgotten. We become cheerful.

    Life goes on.
