Should I use VoIP or calling card to call my parents in India?

My parents back in India aren't comfortable using Skype I'm thinking of using either a VoIP application or a calling card to call them .I am undecided about which option to choose. Which is cheaper?

Try Vonage. Since 5yrs we are using it. No complaints. We get unlimited minutes every month. They charge 40$/month includng taxes. Never used calling card so i can't compare.

Go for Vonage no idea about calling cards.

I use Vonage too n its super clear n unlimited talk time I speak to everyone in India ☺

Vonage has monthly subscription charges is it ?I just checked their website .There are too many plans to chose from ..very confusing !

Online call services are much cheaper than calling cards.There are many international calling apps which you can use.You can check Google play for options .I use Global Call to call my family.It costs me just 0.03 USD/min to call both landlines and mobile phones with no connection fees.

I have never heard about this Global Call . The Rates look very cheap . Is there a suscription fee for it ? I tried to search for it on Google play but there are many apps with similar names.Which one is it ?
