Re: Yet another one, I chant ! Dear Chitra Mam, Thank you so much. I joined this site about 10 days ago. I came across this particular sloka and written it down just a week ago. On Diwali, we have this usual Nombu. As a part of our family tradition, we decorate the Kalasam with 'Ammi kuzhavi' and in that we make a face of 'amman' with turmeric. We had bought silver eyes, ears, nose and lips with which the face is decorated and its done only once in a year on Diwali - nombu day. After that the silver articles are safely packed and kept in the locker. This year we had a terrifying experience to begin with. When we took the pack for decoration, to our horrifying disappointment, we found one ear and one eye got missing. It was already 0530 pm and the pooja should begin at 0600 after all the decorations are over. Moreover if the whole pack was missing, we could have told over selves some reason. But this was very horrifying. Everyone got nervous and we even feared it could be some bad symptom as one eye and one ear was missing. This sloka came to my mind. Me and my wife went to the room where the locker was there and together we chanted this sloka 11 times. I told her to get on with other things. I searched the locker and found the missing pieces in 10 minutes. There was no delay in the pooja. 2 pieces have fallen out of the pack and were stuck inside a heap of clothes in the locker rack. THANK YOU SO MUCH.. What else I can say.. thanks a ton.. Warm regards, BABU
