I would like to do the vrat on shivrathri ..... Pls tell me how to do the vrat and the puja vidis ....
Hi I observe shivaratri in follow way. Wakeup early in the morning, have hair bath, wear clean clothes preferably white clothes, light a diya for the deity in home, chant Om namah shivaya Om namo parwathi devi namaha 108 times. Then I go to the nearby Shiva temple. I offer water & milk to shivaling, flowers to mother parwathi , offer flowers to Ganapathi and come home. Keep chanting as much as you can Om namah shivaya. eat fruits, in afternoon with a glass of milk. In evening have fruits & milk, or upma of broken wheat. Before going to sleep m namah shivaya Om namo parwathi devi namaha 108 times. Next day in morning wake up early, have bath, light diya for the deity in home, pray and then have breakfast.
