Sewing/Tailoring/Stitching : Suggestions for correcting a low neck in Chudidhar

    Hi Indus Ladies,

    My tailor stitches well generally. But this time, she has spoiled my favorite chudidhar's kameez. The neck is very broad and also the cut is too low. i asked for 7inches. and i guess, it is much deeper - around 8 inches.

    Is there any way i can alter the neck now? :help

    Help would be appreciated !

    If you have the cloth piece or some contrast cloth, you can stitch thin strips (like cord) and stitch it criss /straight on the front.

    Try putting elastic that will make the neck go up.

    Yah..As Varloo suggested you can use the bottom(salwar) cloth piece or any contrast cloth to cover the low lying neck with chords.I have done it twice, it did not look odd at all.So give it a try!

    hi,
    if it is 'V', 'U', or round neck u can give a cloth for ur desired neck height. even thouth it is other desiner neck u can make it round or 'U' neck little more deeper & give the bottom cloth over there or else buy some lace or decorative cloth & use it if u dont hv extra cloth of ur bottom. i think this helps u.

    Hey there...

    I have some new T-shirts, but don't like to wear them anymore, as they are round neck onesWitsend. I would like to know if there is any way I can change the neckline without having to go to the tailors.... I was thinking more of a V-line.... There is one catch though... There is a statement printed on them....Any way to save the statement, yet get the round-necks off?

    Hai,

    If you want to prefer v line better alter by your self by folding the existing neckline inside and stitch them later on to that if you have any idea you can go for fabric painting near to neckline or emb work or stone work or get readymade neckline lace work in shop available prefer you v line and attach to that .

    Hi,

    You can give it for alteration in walmart.Actully Its very tough to alter round from V-neck.You can do easily V-neck from round neck.
