Sending original documents to India

    I have to send some original documents from US to India.Please tell me the most reliable way to send it?

    We have used Fed-ex. Its very reliable.

    I have Send through U.S postal servical, Ordinary service takes around 7business days.

    Fed-ex is very reliable, it is costlier but reaches safely.we sent the documents earlier in Fed-ex for visiting visa for my parents.

    Yes its slightly expensive. It depends on weight.. Use this calculator in this link. http://fedex.com/ratefinder/home - it may give you an approximate cost.

    I wouldn't go with any other cheaper alternative like USPS...because we sent once expensive toys to India and it reached with only half of the toys, the other half was I guess stolen or something...

    I would go with Fed Ex anytime.

    Sujianand you can probably give a look at DHL also. It's costlier than general postal services but cheaper than FEDEX. However I had tried their services while sending documents to USA from India. My experience with them is very good and the customer care is also very prompt.

    Documents from India to USA weighing below 500gms will cost around Rs. 2500/- I guess it might cost a bit higher for Vice-versa services.

    We used US postal services - Registered post. Its cheap and reliable. You can track it also.
