Self Feeding..When?

    I know every baby is different but When do LO's start self feeding?
    And what can be given as finger foods apart from cut fruits?
    I am a vegetarian but also eat egg.

    BTW, DS eats the gerber puffs and baby mum mums on his own. I tried boiled pieces of carrot and sweet potato but he wouldn't eat them! He just played with them and threw them down..

    So any ideas will be appreciated..

    sudha, mine tries to feed herself with the spoon! but most times it goes in the nose or face...lol so i am very stern when it comes to feeding, and dont let her snatch the spoon from me anymore. on diaperswappers there was a lovely thread on BLW finger foods... i will hunt for it and post it here...
