Salaamuwalikum, walikumsalaam:

These were my opening sentence to any of the groom for matrimony I got to chat.
My daughter also had her profile registered there by me so I thought I can get through to the guys through her, so the shaadi.com story opened.

Right in the morning very ritualistic search used to be there and I used to send messages to all the Muslim boys, telling this, that I am searching a groom for my Muslim friend who is only 18 yrs and has finished her PUC and is fair slim long hair and so on…

When I got the response so many, I was damn happy that something is going to culminate of which I was damn sure, as Asya my daughter’s friend is a beauty and only thing was that she got married at 16 and is a divorcee of a 3months marriage.

Now when Asya came over she used to pick all film star materials, like they looked too good for words, even I felt after all she is a beauty why not, slowly it dawned that they preferred the non divorcees more. It did not stop at that, they were more interested in my daughter rather than Asya, and here I was thinking I am going to hit it off.

It always started with salaamuwalikum but as the chat started with them, Asya had to face a lot of problems, being a divorcee they were very open about why she was divorced, and whether she was not interested in sex and how many times a week she had with her previous husband, what is her bust size, where I used to be damn angry and close the chat, I felt very bad for her. A woman has to answer so many things all because she is a divorcee.

There were many from <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" />Pakistan practically begging to be accepted and not deny as they were from that nation, but Asya was not interested in them, not because they were from there but for some reason she did not like the guys who came over in chat.

After another six months at it, I felt no groom coming in view, but all going zig zag in the sense they were either interested in my daughter or talking filth…

Then came the news that my other neighbor has brought an alliance from dubai and they are going to engage, when Asya got the photograph I could see her too low, still it is practical that she face it, the boy was nowhere her hero material but at least he was real and did not want anything but that the girl should be fair as he was a little dark, so now madam is in Dubai with a very loving husband inshaallah yes by his grace…sunkan

Dear Sunkan,
Asya was lucky enough to marry a normal looking person, with a heart of gold. That is why she got divorced from her first marriage. Insah Allah, Hametullah, May she alaways be happy.

Dear janani,
when she was divorced i think we all shattered, all because she was too thin for him who was a massive buggar, and then to take out her frustration she used to take my second daughter chitra for a long long walk and come home, all sweating and then have bath then go to sleep, this went on for years and she is a very frank person, that is the quality of no4 people they can never be sly or talk behind the back they are outright and should marry only either no 4 or no 8, her husband is 8 thank lord for small mercies, yes i also pray for her happiness...sunkan

Dear Sunkan,

It is nice that Aisha married to a good person.... In cases of second marriage, getting a good husband who will understand the feelings is becoming difficult and in most of the cases it is a compromise......

External beauty will go off with time and age... But the internal beauty will remain for ever......

On the lighter side of it........10 yrs before I was slim/tall and handsome......... :clap ..... hahahahah... Now i am plumpy (my mind doesnt permit me to accept fat....) with half bald...... But I am still the same at heart and love my wife...... (and hopefully she too loves me the same......).

you know veda,
once the image of a husband get registered in the mind of a wife when he was young, very tough to change it, as it mellows with love over the years, and even if he has lost flesh, become bald, there is something inside that man that tugs u all the time that he is mine, he is mine, now i dont think the outer image is going to help in anyway here, in fact when i look at some of my friend's marriage photos they look so skinny and pale, i give the credit to the wife, as she has given him the generous image that he is now. here let me correct you, where u are confident about your love to her, then where is the doubt abt her having the same with you, as a woman i say, men are very bad, they take hold of a woman's heart and when they leave us, they actually break it not empty it...sunkan

Dear Sunkan,

Hats off to u....... I can doubt myself, but not the love of my wife for me... She will do anything for me.... Jhan lenekhabi lega... Dhenekhabi Dega....... For her me and my happiness stands first than anything else in the world.....

Actually speaking all men are not bad... Some people need extra pampering from their loved ones..... I join that category..... When my wife says, "Vedhoo I love u"..... that works as a energy booster.... It is not because of the doubt.... It is because poor me also need that extra vitamin.....

My wife will also agree with me when she reads this.....

Me....

Dear shanthi,
men who tease their wives have an inferiority complex, to hide that they always keep the woman suppressed, so that they can be dominant in life..
a very weak approach though. woman tend to notice sometime and then hell is let loose..sunkan
