Got the point, in IL you are a family of your own, with your DH and DS name alongwith your signature.

Nice one. Sahasranamam for us.
Well though I did not have many namas other than Malls, Malligai, Jasmine and Chi Ku Chi (read in tamil - chinna kuyil chitra).

I have a bad (or gud) habit of always humming some songs even if I am in my provision shop next door - that guy there (must be younger to me) once commented Uncle chinna kuyil chitra voda veleela pora maadhiri irukku. From that day my husband teases me as chi ku chi.
My latest name - Nandumooki - I detest sour curds - if at all due to power failure any day the curds turn sour -I would say pulichu nandarthu (in our slang) and at that time u should c the xpression on my face - so she calls me nandumooki. (ofcourse only at home - also sometimes says funnily - amma naan unnai ammanu koopidarthai vida nandumooki nu koopadren unakku kovam varaliya)

Nee appidi koopadarthum chellama olikkarthu so no regrets - would be my reply.

But I have coined so many pet names for my son even before he turned 1 - had them in a diary and my mom used to reminisce those days and share with my children too.

Nice to know everyone has more than one nama!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been called so many names, Jayu, Jaya, Jayashree, Rosy and also here in US my friends also coined my name as "Social Butterfly" because I have so many friends. :rotfl

In A-Z I am jagadeshwari....:rotfl

ayyo now that I think of it, I should have registered here in IL as some unique name like "rosebud" or "clementine"..:rotfl

It would be like a 'bear entering in the middle of the Siva Pooja' (this is the closest translation I can get for a proverb in Tamil for those people who enter at the wrong time..:biglaugh)
