:hello: RIGHT IS WRONG & VICE VERSA :hello:

Five friends had gone for a morning trek amid a dense forest and somehow managed to get completely lost.

Struggling to find their way out for good 8 hours, there came a point where they were hungry, thirsty and tired. They desperately needed to get back now. It was going to be dusk & dark.

They decided to strategise a right plan to find the quickest way back.

The first one thought, we must turn around and attempt to go back in exactly the same direction that we came in.

The second one suggested that his gut feeling that the exit way is to their left.

The third one said, I remember in which direction the sun rose when we came and based on that, technically we must turn right.

The fourth one thought, we must keep proceeding ahead in the same direction as we were already walking since they had already covered a few miles and there has to be an end to the forest soon.

The fifth one, who was the wisest of all, said we must climb a tree, rise above and take a view from the top and find the shortest way out.

In frustration, they all never came on the same page and each one thought he was absolutely right, and the others were totally wrong.

None could give up his point of view, disregarded others' opinions and went with their own respective ‘rights’.

    Each chose his own path.

The fifth one did find the shortest way to a nearest village, he was wise indeed.

The fourth one, found a pack of wolves but fought them and learnt how to survive in a forest. He started loving it out there.

The third one, found another team of hikers, eventually found his way out with them and made new friends too.

The second one, found a farm and was hosted by a lovely family and spent few of the best days of his life before he headed home.

The first one, struggled for long hours, but remembers it as his best night trek ever.

This story reminded me, that everything in life is not about right and wrong.

Rights and wrongs have broken many friendships and spoiled far too many relationships.

A number 6 from one’s side, looks like a 9 from the opposite.

Imposing our views on others causes repercussions.

One may be the wisest, and may know the quickest fix, but wisdom is, in letting the other adult find his or her own path.

Good suggestions shall command welcome with open arms only if they aren’t imposed.

One must never judge or label those who disagree with him or her. Agree to disagree, respectfully.

All roads lead to Rome. And all roads have one common outcome, a worthy experience.

Just like in movie - the game of - jumanji. Every time the dice is rolled, a new experience unfolds. And each one enriches the player in its own unique way and eventually adds to gamer’s maturity, wisdom and growth.

Everyone is right, in their own way.

Good story. So there is no right or wrong. Eventually, we are all a product of circumstances and how we deal with them.
    Here is one to laugh:
14 retired guys met at a restaurant to have a good time. They enjoyed in full. All of them reached the counter to pay the bill. Each one insisting he will pay. The manager appreciated their friendship. Then one of them suggested, since everyone wants to pay the bill, let all run outside around the restaurant and whosoever reaches first, will pay the bill. The manager, already impressed, agreed and blew the whistle.
    No one returned.
    All were right.

There are several ways out but instead of looking for them, we lose our time and ourselves in vain debates and fights.

So well said. There are some extremely good people who get into this judgmental trap of right or wrong. In trying to correct what we perceive as 'wrong' with a person or group of individuals, we don't realize when we start behaving exactly them, except for pitching for the other side.

Good one, Thyagu. I wanted to write about it, but couldn't think of how to write. The story explains it so well.

I wonder why we impose our views on others in even trivial matters. Our intentions are often well-meaning, but we should try to let people be as much as we can.

If a person tends to over pack when traveling, let it be. If another person likes to reach the station or airport well before the departure time, so be it. Chill and go on the phone, you got a chair near a power outlet, be happy. Don't go on and on that there was no need to start so early.

If I want to vacuum the floor first and then wipe the furniture, let me do it that way. In a few hours, there will again be dust everywhere anyway. And with time, we will all be dust. : ) So, let me dust as and when I want to? : )
