Ingredients Rice rava or Idly rava- 1 cup Water - 3 cups Channa dal - 2 tbsp Green Chilli paste Salt Jeera Oil Method First dry roast the rava for 3-5 min and allow it to cool. Now take thick vessel or Kadai and add water , oil, salt ,channa dal, green chilli paste ,jeera and let it boil nicely . Now add the rava and mix well . It should form a mass together until all the water is gone . Consistency should be in such a way that it’s allowed to make balls out of it without sticking to hands. Switch it off and make balls out of it. And it can either be made in oval or round shape and fry well on tawa with little oil on both the sides . It tastes best with onion chutney! Variations 1.As told earlier after making balls you can press roundly or ovally and garnish with coconut and steam it like idlies instead of frying on tawa. 2. You can skip chillies and dal if you want . 3. You can take the balls and pat it thinly using oil on plastic cover and fry well on both the sides.
