Review - Jurm

This is a suspense movie directed by Vikram Bhatt. Avinash Malhotra (Bobby Deol) is a big shot and Prosecutor Sanjay Pathak (Milind Gunaji) is his friend. Avinash meets Sanjana (Lara Dutta) in the New Year Party and saves her from some gang-members. He liked her very much and hence gives her a job in his firm and later marries her.

There are a few instances of misunderstanding between them and one night, after a party, Mrs. Sanjana Malhotra is murdered and Avinash is not able to recollect anything other than seeing her come inside the house.

Police arrests Avinash. Sanjay helps him in court’s proceedings. They find Mrs. Sanjana’s dead body as told by a person who claims to be her Uncle (Mama) and Forensic Lab declares from the DNA test that Mr. Avinash is guilty. Avinash gives the “Power of Attorney” to Sanjay to keep the Business rolling. Meanwhile, Sanjay helps him flee from jail.

Here comes the first twist…He had asked Sanjay to pick him up from a place. When he escapes from jail and comes to that place, he betrays him and shoots him. Sonia (Gul Kirat Panag), who had come to jail to meet him, follows him and finds him wounded. Her father treats him in their house, without the knowledge of Police.

Through Sonia's contacts, they come to know that Sanjay is in <st1:country-region><st1lace>Malaysia</st1lace></st1:country-region>. When they go there, its another twist…Can you guess it? Sanjana is ALIVE…

The person who claimed to be her Uncle, is a fake one and all 3 planned to take away all the money Avinash had.

This is not it…Avinash plays beautifully through the rest of the movie and the climax is excellent…
