Hi ladies, Has anyone rented townhouse in US? Is the procedure to rent townhouse same as apartment - maintained and managed by a company? Or is it managed by individual owners? Thanks in advance.
It can be either. There are rental townhome complexes and you can also find units in regular communities that are rented out directly by the owners.
How to filter out rental townhome complexes managed by a company? Sorry for naive Qs, we are fairly new to US and I am using apartments/zillow site to filter out apartments. Also is it okay to rent out townhouses? Convenient apartments seem to have long waiting list. I am planning to drill down on townhomes now to see if I can get one matching my travel needs.
You can look on Redfin. Put in your target city or zip code, and the type of rental you’re looking for: apartment, towns house, single family house etc. The property details will tell you who manages it. It’s fine to rent a townhouse though it may be more expensive than a smaller apartment.
