Honestly that @venkiis situation made me wonder about the State of the USA he is in, and what the child-support rules that "her" lawyer could win for her. In some states, the husband who had got annoyed at EMA of the wife, would go and get divorced, only to find out that he had to pay child support payments, as well as babysit, while she goes continues her activities (much of the childsupport payments going to support such activities), only this time she has a dependable babysitter to help.
Life is quite tough in many cases; and if it isn't tough enough, we can voluntarily make it so. :disrelieved: Sometimes one may wonder if most of life's problems are self-inflicted.

I do believe in Karma. In my view What has been going through in our present life especially our sufferings [beyond our control ] are the reflection of our past karma. Believing this destiny realizes me accept the pains, look for peace within my limits and at least it controls myself for not to blame anyone for my sorrows.

    A crisp description. : )

As I read the above post, in one fell swoop I recalled 3 or 4 of the "personalities" in my extended family network who were relied upon for this detective work. I LOL'ed at reading the list of things checked for.

As not all had phones back then, these personalities would arrive in person to deliver their findings. Quite a ceremony that would be.

I miss eavesdropping on all those conversations where my grandma, mom and aunts would mercilessly tear apart the hapless horoscopes while gossiping about anyone and everyone unlucky enough to catch their attention.

He breaks her heart. Then apologizes, and buys her an expensive gold necklace. A while later he breaks her heart again.

@Hopikrishnan I login to this forum to get inputs and be done with that and not indulge in becoming a messiah and commenting on people when they have not or are not asking for help.

i would appreciate keeping this alpha attitude with yourself.

    Good spot for this link
Man Wastes Entire Life Chasing Unrealistic Pipe Dream Of Being Loved And Respected

I really liked the expression of the aforementioned man:

I saw the following lament (so sad...) in "Looking for Suggestions" thread of @Caughtinbetween and decided to move the tangential discussion over here...
    1. Even after x years of marriage ? <== should there be a probationary period of married life for the co-mingling of financial assets of the marrieds? Or perhaps some milestone achievements, like the coming of children (substitute adoptions in SS-couples)? Or buying property and having joint mortgage ?
    2. Why do spouses in USA reject the joint Bank Account funda ? Top 10 reasons, anyone? [patriarchal mindset is already mentioned :expressionless:]
    3. Does Joint a/c avoidance of married couples contribute to the longevity of marriages ? [Hint: differing money-management opinions and practices tend to be top number one cause of divorce in America]

In this particular case, the wife doesn't seem to be spending money unnecessarily.
Calamities can occur at any point in life.
The husband was aware of all legalities in USA.
