Geeta, we are not too many generations apart then, mohanlal comedies were a good part of my life growing up . Nadodikattu? His pairing with shobana ( love her, classical indian beauty) was the highlight of Malayalam cinema for me.
It’s nice to have someone here that has Karnataka, andhra and Kerala ( and TN ?) influences like I do along with admiration for mr.clooney!

    Sandy,

Nadodikattu...I have not seen, now that you mentioned let me try to catch up with it. Tamil, yes, I have seen many. Though I haven't seen a full length movie, I like Surya! How about Anant Nag of yesterday years? He is a Konkani:)

Haven’t seen much of surya but I believe he is very popular. I assume you would have seen “mouna ragam “ , mani ratnam’s finest creation IMO. The music and the movie was way ahead of its times.
Haven’t seen a lot of anant nag movies or kannada movies (just a few that the mother dragged me to). Shankar Nag was better I think, more creative. Malgudi days ? I have started appreciating recent kannada movies, loved rangi taranga, ondu mutheya katha etc . Seems like kannada movies have progressed beyond the rajkumar family, finally !

    Sandy,

Haven't watched south regional films lately. Hindi version of Bahubali was the last. Lately, I have watched quite a few Marathi films, here too I prefer the realistic/off beat types.
