    Great thread Spandhana!!

    I love so many of Chitvish's recipes that it's hard to pick one....but will list my top favorites that comes to mind instantly.

    Rice: Carrot Rice, Peas Pulao, Veg Biryani, Corn Methi Pulao.

    Sweets/Dessert: Mango Kesari, Apple nut dessert.

    Curries: Alu Channa, SI Channa, Rajma curry.

    Rasam: Pinepple rasam, grapes rasam.

    All Oothappams

    Salad: Spicy Channa, Capsicum Paneer Salad.

    Snacks: Bangalore Pakoda, Cashew Pakoda, Maddur Vada.

    I have tried one-whistle sambar,pasiparuppu payasam and ribbon pakoda ,thattai .
    all comes very well.

    Dear All,
    I have so many receipes from Mom. At top of my head I do not remember the name of the receipes.

    1. Millagu kuzhambu, Hotel Sambar, Udipi sambar, corn halwa, ashoha halwa, kesari, Aviyal, Carrot kheer, apple kirini, badhusha, pineapple halwa, Thiratipal, pavbaji, patani sadam, kalkandu sadam, all the fesitivel receipies, mavilakku mavu, jaggary puttu, sweet puran poli, kozhakatai's, idli, all varieties of dodas, uthapams, all the jiffy receipes, vegetable cheese pasta, puri potato, most of the sidishes, and chapatti's. oh...no the list grows like any thing.. I cook most of the time with her tips.....

    While telling this I have got good name near the friends because of her contributions in this IL....Otherwise I might not have improved at all..

    Great thread!! this would motivate others to try more recipes.

    My favs which i could remember now are caramel payasam, ashoka halwa, kesari, pavakkai pitlai, jain methi kofta, jain kadai paneer, paruppu usili, methi sprouts sambhar, apple rasam and one whistle sambhar, and ofcourse the tips section is very very useful.

    My personal favourites are:
    Mysorepak
    Caramel payasam
    Coconut rice-avial combo
    Morkuzambu-paruppusili
    Idli-sambar-chutney
    Curd rice-pickles

    I love thogayals & vathakuzambu. Anyday, I prefer south indian food to rotis, pulaos etc!

    I like Chitvish thread Tantalizing Pachadis.... I keep trying them out and wow!!!!! they are simple to cook and delicious to taste... When my friends say "Yo" I tell them that my friend in Chennai helps me out through IL of course.....

    Great idea to start a thread like this. Chira Aunty deserves due credit for all her recipes. At home, my mom does the cooking ... I dont cook but I'm a great critic! I sometimes consider a career as a food taster! just kiddin ...

    Of Chitra Aunty's recipes, my favourites are the vegetarian dhansak, caramel payasam, pink pal payasam, and the oothappams. Now, I feel like a judge of a contest who says "all contestants were good but the first prize goes to _____!!!" Its really diffcilut to choose favourites. Amma has tried most of the recipes n wach one is a masterpiece.

    Great recipes and keep it going!!!
