    Snacks Plzz

    Hi Everyone,

Can anyone suggest snacks which can be made in 15 mins or less for evenings when we are too tired to do elaborate ones. I have already tried Onion Pakodi, Punugulu and Sandiwiches so apart from that anything else would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Swapna.

    dear leka,

Cauliflower chops is a very good sidedish for appam.Saravana bhavan is very famous for this dish.It is my most favourite dish.

    onion -3
    tomatoes-3
    ginger garlic paste-1 tspoon
    cauliflower-2
    cocunut milk-1/4 cup
    chilly powder-1 1/2 tspoon
    salt-to taste
    jeera-1/2 tspoon
curry leaves, corriander leaves and cut green chillies-2

    make a paste

    shredded coconut-21/2 table spoon
    kaskas-1 1/2 tspoon
    fried grams-1 tablespoon
    garam masala-1/2 tspoon

    procedure-

put oil in a pan(vanali) and saute with jeera, curry leaves, chillies and finely cut onion.
when onion is glass like, put cauliflower pieces. Then after 2 mins put chilly powder and finely cut tomato pieces.

THen pour some water and close it with lid.

When the cauliflower is cooked ,add the paste and salt.

cook it the gravy is thick.and finally add coconut milk and after it boils stop the stove.put corriander leaves for flavour.

    Re: suggest sidedish for Appam

    hi leka,
i love to eat appam with fiery garlic chutney...saute a handful of garlic cloves in oil, grind it with 3-4 red chillies soaked in hot water...add salt and lemon juice to the paste and mix well...it gives a good contrast when u finish the last appam with thenga pal as desert :drool..
